Submitted on 6/9/2017 Review title of TimWorks great if you don't saturate your Wi-Fi connection I have been using this technology from various venders and want to love it, but it has one major limitation. If you are using Wi-Fi for heavy internet use while projecting, it tends to lag and freeze.
However, if you are using Ethernet or projecting previously downloaded content this adapter works great. The Wireless Display Adapter is not the problem, but the amount of data you are trying to pump through your Wireless connection is saturating your Wi-Fi bandwidth. Occasional short term use worked fine. Now I have added a monitor to use when working at home. The first connection is fine, but after one or two hours of use, it disconnects for unknown reasons. I haven't found a way to re-connect (adapter no longer found) other than turning off both, laptop and display adapter. The same problem exists when the laptop goes to sleep: after wake-up the laptop does no find the adapter anymore. Was hoping to minimize the cables on my desk, but this adapter is failing too often.
Submitted on 7/26/2016 Review title of FelixVBuy a Chromecast. I bought this to stream my surface 4 to my tv thinking this was MADE for this kind of setup. Wanted to stream video games, movies, websites (youtube, comedynetwork, etc.) but it failed to do all of those task. It jitters, lag, crash, get off-sync. Microsoft should never sell this.
