Getting to such a small settlement with public transport is not an easy task. You can use Google maps or an app like Moovit to get full instructions but you will find that it takes 2h, or more, and involves a few changes, including in the middle of the highway (in Har'el Interchange).
You'll need to get on a bus to Jerusalem that stops at thin interchange (so you'll need an internal bus from to the bus terminal) and then take the Superbus line 187 to Har Adar. All websites suggest taking a bus to Arlozerov/Terminal 2000 then take bus 480 to Har'el Interchange and then the 187 bus to Har Adar. Mobogenie helper for pc free download.
The bus to Har'el Interchange is 19 NIS, the 187 bus o Har Adar is 5.80 NIS and the internal bus in Tel Aviv is 6.90 NIS. Of course, it it´s this Sunday there are no buses (eve of Sukut) so you'll only be able to do it with a taxi, which will be expensive. Edited: 5:57 am, September 23, 2015. Note that if you take the 480 to the Harel interchange you get dropped off on the highway. Walk up (away from the highway), turn left and walk over the bridge, then down on the other side.
The 187 bus stops there, along with about 100 other routes. The 187 isn't very frequent. It is operated by a company called Superbus, which has no English website, but you can see the times on this site: (English option in top left-hand corner).
I understand that you're talking about this coming Sunday. If it is indeed this Sunday, or the one after: For returning in the evening, you will need someone to drive you to (or get a taxi), from where you can get a sherut to since the buses won't be running then because of the holiday. If it's any other Sunday, a normal day, take the 187 from Har Adar and get off at the Harel interchange. Repeat exactly as above, walking over the bridge and down on the other side, to get a 480 to Tel Aviv.
