Sony Vaio Pcg 7z1m Drivers

Hi, newbee here have joined your forum. I have just been given a Sony Vaio laptop. The model no: PCG-7M1M. I am trying to find out information for it, but the model no: does not come up. I would like to know as much as I can about it. This is my first laptop. Vaio model PCG-7M1M. Hi taffy57 and welcome. Hi jonas918 and welcome. The reason you cannot find support is that you are quoting an invalid Vaio Model. I suspect you are using the chassis model which is the same for all the different models in the series.

Sony don't help by prominently putting the chassis model on the bottom. Try looking on the screen surround, on the original box or in Control Panel -> Vaio Control Centre for the correct model - it will be an E-Series notebook starting VPCE*****. When you have the correct model, you can find the support pages on the support website - for example here is the support pages for the VPCEB2S1E.

I did not receive any notices from Sony regarding upgrading, or not, to Windows 10 and recently performed the upgrade from Windows 7 Pro. Following the upgrade, I discovered the HDMI port no longer works.

I performed the VAIO Health test and all tests passed except video. At the end of the test, I was instructed to contact Sony technical support (fee-based) to get the video problem resolved. All other aspects of the laptop, except Bluetooth which also stopped working following the upgrade, are working well. I now have to use the VGA port for external monitors.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. • Tap on Windows Key.

• Click on Search bar. • Type “ Troubleshooting” without the quotes and Click on Troubleshooting. • Click on View All and then click on Hardware and Devices. • Click on Next and follow the instructions. If the issue still persist, refer to the below method. Method 2: I would suggest you to download the latest driver from the manufacture website and then try to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps. • Tap on Windows Key and click on Search bar.

• Then type” Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on Troubleshooting. • Click on View All on the left panel of the screen. • Then click on Program compatibility Troubleshooter. • Click on Next and follow the instructions. Hope it helps.
