I have a 2nd gen Ultimaker that is not yet printing properly and it's been a couple of months since I've had time to troubleshoot. Now yesterday I noticed this new firmware (Marlin) and software (Netfabb) I thought that I might have better success. Also with the help of this excellent forum members and their members blog posts I hope to get it working properly. So today I bought the Netfabb software from and the order was confirmed as Complete (order no 100000736) but I did not receive any serial/voucher/activation code. I did send a support request to but I guess it's not open on weekends. I was hoping to get this baby running tonight!
Netfabb 2019 comes with a few key things we hope you will find useful! 1) Re-play function: Change in geometry from the design team after your support strategy is already finalized? Press re-play and your manual or script-based supports will re-generate to support the new structure. » Where is the Netfabb serial number located. Netfabb 6 offers a new licensing system. The system is a major step forward using the Netfabb Software. • Trial key: In same email as the download link which you received for your Netfabb trial version • Installation ID.
So the questions I have: 1) Did you other guys with working Netfabb Engine for Ultimaker get the serial/activation codes directly in e-mail upon order from? 2) Is there any Demo mode that I can start with? On installation of the Windows binary: 'netfabbInstaller_ultimaker.exe 1.42 MB October 20 2011 22:45:17.' (from ) There are options for 'Full version' and 'Demo version' but both of the requires some kind of serial number. The Full version also Voucher code. I have received none. Is there any serial number with which I can try out the 'Demo version' while waiting for my real voucher/serial numbers?
Thanks for any input, Daniel Florian Horsch, 6:26 น. Hi Daniel, sorry to hear that. Bad timing I guess.
You probably have to wait until Monday. It's normal that there's no automated serial mail afaik. Also a demo serial wouldn't help you, because it's lacking the print feature. Provide me with an stl or thingiverse link if you want some gcode to play with. I can slice it up and you'll print it with RepG. Btw: Did you already upgrade to Marlin?
Via RepG or Arduino? Also look here for some advise to get time fly by;) Probably there's still something you can tune on the machine. Cheers, Florian PS: Skeinforge 44 + RepG is also a great choice.
Just follow step by step, after installing Skeinforge standalone like described on the very bottom of this page. Use this link for Skeinforge 44: > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google > Groups 'Ultimaker' group. > To post to this group, send email to > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > > For more options, visit this group at > > > For information about the Ultimaker, visit: > -- Florian Horsch gadgetfreak, 6:38 น. Thanks for your quick response Florian - I already yesterday noticed your excellent post 'Analyzing your first print' - I'm sure it will be of great help. I actually just a minute ago got the serial/voucher from Harma at Ultimaker:-) Apparently it's not automated yet so I was lucky that they sometimes do work weekends I guess!

So now I'll dig into all the gory details and try it out. I've not yet upgraded to Marlin, I was planning to do it with RepG but would you said Arduino would be a better way?
