I know what you are trying to do. It is good to help people out, but trying to get the PNA version of iGO8 to work on a PDA is just asking for trouble and rather hard to do. Instead, use the PDA version. If you anyway want to use your version, I can provide you with the right sys.txt, data.zip and branding.zip, but I would not recommend using this version at all. After trawling through the *uber* iGo8 thread and wasting hours trying to find the bits needed, I have decided to create an easy update rar for anyone else wanting iGo8 working on the touch HD. Just to confirm despite what others are saying on this thread, this solution works perfectly in 800 x 480, and 480 x 800 modes. Graphics are not 'stretched' out of proportion to fit.

Please note: You must have version 8.3.2.64873 The rar contains the following files, all fixed and updated to support the touch HD in both portrait, and landscape modes: • data.zip • branding.zip • sys.txt File Size: 9.96 Mb Install Instructions: Simply unpack on your PC, and copy to your iGo8 folder overwriting the old files. Orientation: To swap between landscape/portrait modes you do not need to fiddle with sys.txt. In iGo: Settings --> Device --> Set Screen Orientation. Pick your desired orientation. The program will the restart in the new mode.

Download: Edit: Have updated this rar to include fixed sys.txt (Sorry, included the wrong version first time around) I have tested this for a few days, and iGo works really well, no bugs spotted yet. Cheers, Matt. Quote: Originally Posted by david-v I know what you are trying to do. What you're saying here is not the full story. I've used the latest iGO8 v8.3.2.64873 for several weeks now with a very easy and not complex sys.txt. What you need is the right licence file and and one of the fixed data.zip you can find elsewere. The data.zip versions from v8 to 9a and 9b all have the 800x480 and 480x800 and you can switch from portrait to landscape and vise versa without editing the sys.txt.

Look at my post in the other thread about this. I've posted a working sys.txt for this version with the proper licence files. In addition to this, there are now 3 or 4 skins working in landscape mode for version 8.3.2.64873 in full scale (HD).

I believe you've tried the Gurjon 5.9 yourself. There are not much difference in PNA and PDA version anyway. Some tweaking is needed.

I've used iGO on my PDA's for several years now, since the beginning of iGO. Just for testing purposes I now have 5 different navigation software installed on my HD. IGO has always been my favorite. I know, but I didn't want to complicate things more.

A lot of people get completely lost with all the data.zip, skins and versions of sys.txt. For example, the PNA version needs to be told where iGO8 can be found, so you would have to specify the name of your SD card (in your own localized rom language) in the sys.txt. We both know how to do that easily, since I have also been using iGO for a long time, but most people get lost with something simple as that. That is why most people need clear instructions on what version is easiest to set up, and what to do in case it does not work. Telling people to use a data.zip file that does not even have the native 480x800 and 800x480 is just not a good idea.

It confuses even more. That is the point I am trying to make here. Anyway.like AllTheWay said, I dont see the point of this thread.it confuses people even more, dont you agree?
